Newent Town AFC announce that Chris Powell has agreed to manage their Reserve team who compete in uhlsport Hellenic League Division Two West.
Chris, who turned 35 this week, has been in and around the club for around five years now. Previously working as an Estate Agent, he had to work every other Saturday, so Management wasn’t possible. But with his career change into Health Care and Life Insurance, he is looking forward to leading the team each Saturday. Having previously managed teams in Cheltenham, he still retains the nickname “Gaffa”
“I’m looking forward to working closely with 1st Team Manager Ben Stringer and I know Club Coach Jamie Henderson from a few years ago” Said Chris
So for Newent Town Reserves Gaffa is now the new Gaffa !!
